Turn it on for your company
Connected assistants are off until an Owner turns them on in Mr B (Projects → Assistants). Turning them off stops every assistant in the company at once.
Connect
In your assistant, add a connector with the address shown on the Connected assistants page. Sign in to Mr B, including your two-step code. If you belong to several companies, choose one. Check what the assistant will see and choose Allow.
What it can read
Projects and their progress, estimate totals and lines, what still blocks approval and the scope checklist, trade packages and subcontractor quotes, approved versions and issued quotes, quote wording, plan sheets and scales, and your price book. It sees only what your role allows, in the one company you chose. Client contact details are not shared.
What stays with people
If your owner allows it, an assistant can prepare drafts for you to review: a new project, scope decisions, estimate lines, a subcontractor's quote or quote wording. Nothing changes until you accept a draft in Mr B, and only you can accept drafts prepared for you. Rates come from your price book or a rate you gave, and quantities from the assistant must be checked before approval. Confirming scale, approving estimates, issuing or sending client quotes and anything involving money are always done by a person.
Figures and checking
Figures come from Mr B exactly as calculated. Each answer links back to the page in Mr B; check anything important there before you rely on it. Text people typed into Mr B is treated as data, not instructions.
Your data and control
What the assistant reads is sent to its provider under your own agreement with them. Mr B records each request (which tool, when, result size) but not the content. Disconnect any time from Connected assistants; Owners can disconnect anyone in their company. Requests are limited per minute and per day to keep the service responsive.
